Finnegan's - Universal Orlando
For Finnegan’s Bar & Grill at Universal Orlando, I led the redesign of the exterior menu signage to improve visibility, durability, and guest engagement within a high-traffic theme park environment. The goal was not just to refresh the menu, but to create a welcoming landmark that balanced brand personality with operational clarity and long-term maintainability.
The solution combined a fully rebuilt menu system with a custom illustrated stanchion featuring three stacked leprechauns—an original character concept designed specifically for this installation. The illustration served as both a visual anchor and a wayfinding cue, drawing guests toward the menu while reinforcing Finnegan’s playful Irish identity. The sign structure, materials, and mounting details were engineered to withstand outdoor exposure, heavy guest interaction, and strict park standards, while remaining serviceable for menu updates over time.
My role spanned experience design, art direction, and production management—overseeing illustration development, graphic layout, fabrication drawings, and vendor coordination. The result was a cohesive, character-driven signage system that functioned as both brand expression and infrastructure, seamlessly integrated into the streetscape while holding up under real-world operational demands.
